Belinda Rabe a graphic designer by trade, and wood turner in the making. Throughout her career she has worked with small design studios in Brisbane and Sydney and currently lives Brisbane. Her design aesthetic often reflects bright, bold colours and she is drawn to playful and imaginative concepts. The Characters is an evolution of this aesthetic in a more tactile form, something colourful and unique to exist in your home and elicit a smile. Belinda began her woodturning journey in 2023 and has developed a love for the craft and the possibilities for form and detail. The Characters are designed and hand painted by Belinda, with turning of shapes currently done in collaboration with a local Brisbane woodturner.

My vision from the initial idea through to production, has been to craft pieces that are unique, playful and which elicit a smile when you pass them by.
